    • Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Fitness Kickboxing
    • Isshinryu Karate

Powers Martial Arts offers the best of combinations of arts: standing, ground fighting, and fitness. You can train in the one of your liking or all three

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the most effective martial arts out there. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is based on leverage and control, not strength and speed allowing a much smaller person to defend themselves against a much larger person despite their age, size and strength.

Class emphasis is on:

    • Self-Defense
    • Take Downs
    • Positional Hierarchy
    • Submissions
    • Survival

Fitness Kickboxing

Our Fitness kickboxing class is a unique blend of kickboxing and bag work. At the end of class there is yoga, Pilates, and strength type training with a self- defense lesson at the end of class.

This fun, friendly, high energy class will raise your heart level and will get you into shape.


Isshinryu Karate

Isshinryu Karate is one of the most street effective karate forms being taught today. There are no wasted motions, and no flashy techniques taught. Everything you learn has a purpose and that purpose is self-defense. Isshinryu karate is not build on strength. It is based on leverage, angles and targeting. With Isshinryu Karate a smaller person can defend themselves against a much larger person.

Class emphasis is on:

    • Self-Defense
    • Take Downs
    • Forms
    • Sparring (Fighting)
    • Weapons
